Long Awaited Knit Blanket

Hello friends!

I've got a project that I actually finished recently that I have been wanting to share with you all. I started it way back in January 2011, then on again/off again, I finally finished it last week. Whew!

It started as a way to try out a new stitch I found that I really loved, the basket weave stitch.

Then, after some internal debate as to what I wanted it to look like (or what ended up as how much work I wanted to do), I came up with a pattern of strips of different sizes and colors, all the same length.

And now I have my very own knitted blanket. And it's super warm too.
